BioShield is an organosilane that is also stabilized in water that is able to coat porous and non-porous surfaces with Molecular Spikes. The nano-technology physically kills bacteria that come in contact by impaling them on a bed of spikes and delivering an electric shock. The product must be capable of providing and extended anti-bacterial protection over longer periods of time. This timeframe is usually 90 days and up to 360 days depending on the surface area and the levels of cross-contamination activity.


BioShield is a water based micro-biostatic, that permanently bonds to most surfaces (porous and non-porous) and provides a protective coating that inhibits the growth of bacteria, fungi, mildew and algae.


Once applied, BioShield sets up molecular spikes similar to a bed of needles. Microbes landing on these spikes are punctured, rupturing the cell wall and then the microbe is electrocuted. This is all done mechanically, so microbes cannot build up an Immunity or Resistance to it. Normal cleaning is necessary to maximize its effectiveness. Without cleaning, dirt and dead microbes will build up a layer of film and reduce its effectiveness. 


BioShield also prevent microbes from laying down Biofilm. Biofilm is a community of single-celled microorganisms that forms a harmful slime on surfaces. A wide range of microorganisms can function, thrive and even multiply in a community like this. Biofilm acts as an insulating layer for these microorganisms and protect them from most cleaners and disinfectants. 80% of all human infections are caused by some sort of Biofilm.

When a Microorganism comes in contact with our treated surface, the quatemary amine and carbon spikes puncture the cell membrane and an electrical charge is delivered to kill the cell. This means long lasting protection long after we are gone.

Microorganisms need a flat surface to live, migrate and multiply. We don’t give them that chance. Under an electron microscope, you can see over 1000 of these spikes across a human hair.
